Wardah C-Defense Face Mist & Waterclay Mask Review
Hi everyone! Today I want to review two super excited products from Wardah. These two products are both from the C-Defense line. Actually I have 4 c-defense products at home, but one product (dd cream) I almost never use. You can see the serum review on Instagram @bellabeautydiary! So this time what I will be reviewing is Face Mist and Waterclay Mask!
Like I said, the product is super excited because it’s really mini and the color of the packaging is yellow! For the facemist, it’s been quite a while since the launch. As for the waterclay mask, this is one of the new products from Wardah. I’m surprised that this wardah has made a new product for the first time, aren’t you tired? I’m tired of spending the money 🙁 hahaha.
We will discuss one by one starting from the Face Mist.
This product is packaged in a yellow plastic bottle. So it’s not the yellow water, it’s the packaging. The applicator is also plastic. Because the packaging is made of plastic, this product is very light to carry. The size of the bottle is also small, 55 ml, so it doesn’t fill the bag.
This product has a claim to make skin fresher, moisturised, and elastic. Oh yes, the instructions say that this product can also be used after applying makeup. That means it could be a kind of setting spray.
Aqua, Propanediol, 2-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Sodium PCA, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Trideceth-9, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Glycerin, Fragrance, Polysorbate 20, Citric Acid
This product contains Vitamin C which is obtained from 2-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that can prevent cell damage and ward off free radicals that cause premature aging. In addition, there is also PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil which is able to moisturize the skin. This product also contains Sodium PCA which is a humectant. Well, this humectant function is to attract water to seep into the skin. At the end of the list of ingredients, there is Citric Acid which can be an exfoliator while encouraging the growth of new cells on the skin. One thing that needs to be underlined, this product does not contain alcohol but still contains fragrance in the list of ingredients.
So if you look at the ingredients, this product can moisturize, maintain elasticity, and also provide instant freshness.
Btw, you can check my version of the recommended product that can moisturize my skin at here
Textures & Scents
This product has a watery texture but has a citrusy scent. The aroma is quite strong, even after being applied, there is still a strong citrus scent. But this citrus scent can refresh the skin at the same time.
Honestly, I use this product to make my face fresh and not sleepy anymore when I’m on duty HAHAHA. And it’s really effective in making you literate and fresh again, so you can think again. Too bad I don’t know how much I like it anymore. Maybe because the smell of oranges also makes it fresh again. Then sometimes I also use as a hydrating toner in the morning. And it’s really humid. Oh yes, the applicator is also right for spraying, not just to one point but spread out. Even though it’s not spread that far, so sometimes there’s still one spot where it feels like there’s too much water.
So if we check the claim, it looks like this…
️ Makes skin fresher – yes! super fresh after spraying this on your face it even makes you sleepy!!!
️ Moisturizing skin – Yes
️ Maintain skin elasticity – Hmm, this may be long term and a bit difficult to check because my whole skincare routine has a claim like this
Okay, let’s move on to the waterclay mask!
Just like the face mist, this product is packaged in plastic. But the type of plastic is different, this one is thicker. This product comes with a mini spatula. Oh yes, the size of this product is 30 grams.
Brightening*, Cleans the face from dirt and clogged pores, Locks in skin moisture.
*if used in conjunction with other c-defense products
Water, Kaolin, Glycerin, Bentonite, Titanium Dioxide, Trehalose, Pentylene Glycol, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Chlorphenesin, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cellulose Gum, Fragrance, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Xanthan Gum, Biosaccharide Gum-2 , CI 77492
Just like the face mist, this product contains many ingredients that have a moisturizing function. Usually clay masks are dry, yes, this one has moisturizing ingredients. There are also antioxidants present in Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate. Oh yes, there is one interesting material, namely Titanium Dioxide. Usually this material is in physical sunscreens as UV filters. So what is the function of the mask? So titanium dioxide is one type of mineral that has a function to give a glowing effect on the face, disguise black spots, and provide a soothing effect on irritated skin.
This product is also alcohol free but still contains fragrance.
Textures & Scents
This product has a texture like claymask in general, but softer. The color is pale yellow, different from the color of the packaging. It has a strong citrus scent, just like the face mist.
This product feels a little sting when applied. But only a little, if you don’t feel it, you don’t feel it. The smell is very strong, even when the mask is rinsed off, the smell is still there. To be honest, the spatula is a bit useless, bro. I used my own mask spatula because the one I got was too small. Oh yes, after rinsing, my face doesn’t feel dry & tight at all, it actually feels moisturised.
️ Brightens skin* – I can’t see it, because I don’t use the entire c-defense series maybe
️ Cleans the face from dirt and clogged pores – Yes. After using this mask, my face feels cleaner, but I can’t get rid of blackheads…
️ Locks in skin moisture – Yes.
You can get these two products at the Wardah counter, which I’m sure is everywhere. I myself bought the face mist at Jolie for 30 or so, then the water clay mask at Mutiara was priced between 32 or 34 thousand.
