Elsheskin Vitamin C Serum Review
By Salsabilla Kiranasafira – January 14, 2021
January is a pretty memorable month every year because the story of the beginning of the year begins in this month. January this year has been memorable for me, because many good things and opportunities have come. How about you guys at the start of this year?
In addition to being the beginning of a new year, January is also a month where one of the local brand my love is Elsheskin born. In 2021 Elsheskin celebrates its seventh birthday! #ElsheskinTurns7
I’ve only been using Elsheskin products since 2019, so it’s been about two years. In the two years I’ve known Elsheskin, there are so many stories. Have tried a lot of their products too. Well lately I’ve been using Elsheskin Vitamin C Serum.
Elsheskin Vitamin C Serum is a serum with the main content of vitamin c. Well the claim itself is moisturizing, brightening, and has the function antioxidant. Antioxidants can protect the skin from the sun and free radicals. I myself usually use this serum in the morning. The combination of antioxidants in Elsheskin Vitamin C Serum and sunscreen can provide better protection for the skin.
Elsheskin Vitamin C Serum comes with a red box that is typical of Elsheskin. The box contains complete product information. Starting from the description, claims, ingredients, to how to use and expiry date. The packaging of Elsheskin Vitamin C Serum is a dark glass bottle with the exact same label design as the box. This product packaging is equipped with a white pump applicator.
This Elsheskin Vitamin C Serum packaging is the newest packaging. Before it was packaged with a pump applicator as it is now, Elsheskin Vitamin C Serum’s applicator was a pipette. However, it turns out that the pipette applicator makes the product more easily oxidized. I also had the old packaged version of Elsheskin Vitamin C Serum, but it was already oxidized even though there was still a lot of content.
Elsheskin Vitamin C Serum uses Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, which is one of the more stable types of vitamin C. Vitamin C itself can help brighten the skin and protect the skin because it contains high antioxidants. There is also Citric Acid which can also help brighten the skin. In addition to vitamin C, this product also contains vitamin E, namely Tocopheryl Acetate. Vitamin E contains many antioxidants that can protect the skin.
There is one ingredient that is quite new to me, namely Retinyl Palmitate. Retinyl Palmitate is a derivative of Vitamin A, so it’s still the same as Retinol and Bakuchiol. As has been discussed a lot, Vitamin A has an anti-aging function, as well as its derivatives. Oh yes, Elsheskin’s products are also halal. So no need to worry anymore!
The texture of this product is gel but watery. The color is clear, if it turns yellow it means it has been oxidized. I think the gel texture of this product makes feel when applied it becomes moist. In my opinion, this is a very moist serum, so it’s really good to use in the morning and then skip the moisturizer.
Actually, one of the claims of Elsheskin Vitamin C serum is that it really moisturizes, so don’t be surprised if feel After using this serum, it is super moist. Oh yeah, the scent itself isn’t really that strong, so sometimes it smells faintly. The smell is a bit sour, but not overpowering. I think compared to Radiant Skin Serum, the smell is still good this Elsheskin Vitamin C Serum.
After using this Elsheskin Vitamin C Serum, the skin does feel a little sticky. But don’t worry, the stickiness will disappear if you put moisturizer or sunscreen on it. The stickiness is not sticky which is annoying.
I’ve been using Elsheskin Vitamin C Serum since December 22, 2020. I only use it in the morning, at night I use another serum. I feel my skin looks a little brighter. I’m even so self-conscious now that I like to look at the mirror because it feels bright haha. In addition, acne also becomes easier to dry. The scars are also easier to disguise.
If asked to summarize, the advantage of this product is that the claims are really true. Elsheskin Vitamin C This serum moisturizes, brightens, and protects the skin because it contains antioxidants. The downside is that it feels a little sticky after application.
This product can be an option for those of you who are looking for a brightening serum. In January, there will also be many discounts from Elsheskin that you can take advantage of! You can follow Elsheskin’s instagram to know the ongoing promo.
