Crystallure Supreme Revitalizing Oil Serum Review
By Salsabilla Kiranasafira – March 10, 2020
Lately, local brands are starting to make no sense. The product is very good. Very proud of local brands, whether it’s makeup or skincare. One local brand that always innovates is Wardah. One of the coolest innovations in my opinion is the Crystallure by Wardah line which is said to have gone through 10 years of research?!
This Crystallure is a ‘luxury’ series from Wardah which focuses on anti-aging. From the very beginning, I had a crush on the super luxurious packaging. Finally got the opportunity to try one of the products from FD Try and Review some time ago. The product I got is Crystallure Supreme Revitalizing Oil Serum.
Actually I’m quite late to review it. Because I got this product from the end of the year but I really wanted to go for Umrah so I couldn’t try and review it at that time. Why? Just read on later, you know :p Now I’ve been using this product for over a month. From the claims, in 3 weeks, you can see the results. But to make it more solid, I use it for more than a month.
Like I said earlier, the packaging from Crystallure is really luxurious. Even from the cardboard, it looks luxurious with the combination of white and gold. Honestly, it’s been really hard to see that this Crystallure product is Wardah’s luxury line. The price is also slightly more expensive than other Wardah products.
As for the bottle itself, it’s made of glass, that’s why it’s impossible for me to take this product with me when I go for Umrah (if it breaks, it’s a shame, wow). As for the applicator, it’s different from most serums. Even though there are serum applicators like this, I think it’s still unique. Why? Because the first time I wanted to use this product, I didn’t even know how to open it 🙁 HAHAHA. So the way to open it is to just twist the lid and then there’s a button that can pop out the product if you press it, that’s how it is.
Oh yes, there is one drawback to the packaging, which is why it spills easily. It’s not spilling, it’s more like seepage, maybe. Spill but only a little. Now this is another reason why this product can not be taken traveling.
In 3 weeks will make:
- skin is nourished and feels more moist
- fine lines and wrinkles fade
- skin feels more supple, smooth, and radiant
Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Triethylhexanoin, Dicaprylyl Ether, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Trimethylpentanediol/Adipic Acid Copolymer, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Phytosteryl/Octyldodecyl, Lauroyl Glutamate, Free Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Persevoa (Vitamin E), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Bisabolol, Chlorphenesin, Aqua, Isobornyl Acetate, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Fucus Vesiculosus Extract, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Brangare , Teprenone, Glycerin, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), BHT, Linoleic Acid, Ectoin, Benzoic Acid, Hydroxyectoin, Acetyl Heptapeptide-9, Xanthan Gum, Glyceryl Caprylate, Colloidal Gold, Propanediol, Benzyl Alcohol
The ingredients are many and very complex. But basically this product contains 7 botanical oils, namely Seaweed, Macadamia, Calendula, Chamomile, Wheat, Avocado, and Jojoba. Seaweed extract or Fusuc Vesiculous has benefits for maintaining skin elasticity. Macadamia has a function to prevent wrinkles and moisturize the skin. Calendula is great for treating acne, it can also improve texture. Chamomile, as we know, has a calming function. Wheat can protect the skin from free radicals while also fading wrinkles. Avocado Oil contains antioxidants and vitamin E. Lastly, Jojoba Oil which is very effective for moisturizing the skin.
In addition to the 7 botanical oils that I have mentioned, this product also contains Gold-Peptide Crystals and YouthGlow Actives which can disguise wrinkles and maintain skin elasticity.
Texture & Scent
This product even though the name is ‘oil serum’ but the texture is very light. It’s not like oil, it’s like plain water. But when you apply it to your skin, you can feel the oil. As for the scent, it’s really good. The fresh floral fragrance makes you addicted to using this product.
This product is one of my favorite products in my skincare routine. Why? because you can all massage your face wkwkwk. Btw, you can read The products I use for my skincare routine are here. I use this product only at night because the name is also oil, although the texture is light but it definitely takes a little longer to absorb. Meanwhile, in the morning I’ll be in a hurry.
- skin is nourished and feels more moist – yup! My skin feels really moisturised and to be honest I rarely have dry patches on my face. Even though I usually subscribe hahaha
- fine lines and wrinkles fade – I haven’t seen this yet, because at my age, there aren’t many fine lines and wrinkles that are clearly visible
- skin feels more supple, smooth, and radiant – this is my fav! because of using this serum, my face is always glowing <3 then it feels more plump too, which is smooth too, I really love it
For more than a month (almost 2 months) using this product, I feel it really moisturizes and nourishes my skin. Once I was really lazy about skincare, then I skipped skincare and automatically didn’t use this oil serum either. Eh, the skin is so dry and it’s peeling off the skin huhu. Then I’ve been lazy again but I used skincare just this serum oil and in the morning my skin is safe, there’s no dryness as far as the eye can see.
Btw, because it’s oil, it still has to be cleaned properly in the morning. I’m trying to do double cleansing in the morning too. Is there anyone here who doesn’t know about double cleansing? Already checked this post not yet?
So far I like this product. I don’t have any negative reactions on my skin either. If you use anti-aging skincare like this, maybe the end result won’t really be visible now, but 5-10 years from now I’ll definitely be grateful for using this product haha.
